Chian, Ri-cheng

Ri-Cheng Chian, MSc, Ph.D.

Currently, Dr. Chian is Scientific Director at McGill Reproductive Center, McGill University Health Center (MUHC), and Assistant Professor at Division of Reproductive Biology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Dr. Chian also is an Honorary Visiting Professor at Shantou University of School Medicine, Nanjing Medical University and Anhui Medical University, China. Dr. Chian published numerous research papers and presentations in refereed journals and international/regional conference. As a guest or invited speaker, Dr. Chian delivered numerous lectures in different societies and countries.

Dr. Chian is an Associate Editor for the journal, Human Reproduction, and acting as a reviewer for many scientific journals, including Fertility and Sterility, Reproduction, Biology of Reproduction, Reproductive BioMedicine Online, and The Lancet. Dr. Chian is a member of Board of Directors, Global Chinese Association for Reproductive Medicine (GCARM) from 2005 and International Society for In Vitro Fertilization (ISIVF) from 2008 as well as Chinese Special Interesting Group (ChSIG) in American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) from 2008.

Dr. Chian's research interests are focused on 1) Reprogramming of sperm DNA and somatic genomes in the oocytes; 2) The mechanism of oocyte maturation; 3) Vitrification of oocytes and embryos; 4) Embryonic stem cells.
